Darren Lovio has been playing music professionally for over 20 years and teaching guitar lessons for nearly half of that. He has played in original projects, cover bands, blues bands and solo acoustic shows. He has taught students of all skill levels and backgrounds. He graduated from the guitar program at the Musician's Institute and studied at the University of Texas (Austin) as a guitar performance major. A very versatile player, he can play and teach most styles of music as well as music theory, ear training and songwriting. Along with teaching he is currently playing with his band the Melodic Drifters as a lead guitarist, songwriter and vocalist.
