While studying, she also performed as a backup vocalist for a Ben Folds Performance with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Outside of school, she sang with The Kalamazoo Funk Collective, and Crime Funk, singing Motown, funk, and R&B favorites.

After graduating, she went on to earn a coveted position as a vocalist with the U.S. Air Force Regional Bands. She toured with multiple groups both nationally and internationally, representing the U.S. all over Japan, Beijing, Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea.
