Young Choi, originally from South Korea, currently lives in Escondido, California. He has been playing guitar since he was 8 years old. When he was in the 7th grade, his passion for classical guitars blossomed when he bought a famous “Yoojin" brand guitar.

Young was a member of multiple guitar groups during his high school and college years, and has continued playing and learning guitar for more than 45 years. He is also the lead guitar at his church in San Diego.

At the age of 50, he started to build his own acoustic guitars, and is now building his 3rd Martin style dreadnaught acoustic guitar at his own workshop.

Young has taught guitar lessons for over two decades and is excited to start teaching again after a short stint due to the closures in 2020.
