Ralph Schatz was born in Stuttgart Germany. He began playing guitar at the age of 13. He also started playing Bass and Cello competitively in School and Community Orchestras. He then begun further his education in music at Mattheus Hauss College in Stuttgart from where he acquired a Bachelor's degree. In April of 1991 Ralph moved to the United States and resides in San Diego today. Besides working professionally in many bands with styles ranging from Rock, Blues, Jazz and Latin, his love for classical music has kept him busy teaching individual and group lessons for many years. Ralph also holds a Master's degree as a Luthier and has been servicing stringed instruments for CCMS, SDSU, SDUSD and private schools.
