A Serious Focus on Acoustic Piano, Synthesizers and All Styles of Music

Steve's intense training started under acclaimed jazz pianist Franco Richmond, and then later with concert pianist Maestro Michael Thomas Privitello, of the Juilliard School of Music. Maestro Privitello was protégé to Arturo Toscanini, and co-conducted the NBC Orchestra in New York City with Toscanini.

At Berklee College of Music, Steve took on a dual major of Music Production & Engineering, and Music Synthesis; and was also recognized as one of the finest keyboard players at Berklee. Steve broadened his musical horizons at Berklee with great jazz teachers like Jeff Covell, and Michael Brigida. Steve also attended workshops with legends like Tom Coster (Santana, Boz Scaggs, Satriani).

After graduating Berklee, Steve moved to New York City, and began touring with artists such as Color Me Badd (with Paula Abdul), The Cover Girls, and others in the NYC dance genre. In 1993, Steve founded Night Sky Sound amassing industry credits that include corporate campaigns and industrials; to award-winning video scores, film and television scores and trailers; and chart-topping remixes and records releases. In 2006, Steve relocated Night Sky Sound to the West Coast, where he built one of the world's most prestigious recording studios, which was chosen for MIX® Magazine's highly coveted "Class of 2009" feature.

As one of the top synthesizer voicing programmers in the industry, Steve’s sounds and sequences are found in products such as the venerable Kurzweil K2000/2500/2600 series synthesizers. He has done sound design and programming for some of the top-selling CD-ROMS available for Kurzweil K Series. Other programmed sound credits include Korg’s Triton LE, Triton Studio, OASYS, various expansion boards and the 2002 TEC Award Nominee – the KARMA synthesizer workstation. Steve's best programs are still used in the latest Korg synths. Steve has also done consultation and beta test work for Lexicon, t.c. electronic, and Moog Music.

Steve owns one of the most prolific collections of new and vintage synthesizers in the industry. He has just relocated his world-class recording studio to Nashville and specializes in pop music, EDM and original music scoring.
