About

Justin comes from a family of musicians, with both his grandmother and mother being established music teachers in his hometown of Hazlehurst, Wisconsin. He began studying piano at the age of 5, and quickly found a passion for music, eventually branching out to playing saxophone, singing, and eventually composing music as well. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin: Madison and received a degree in music composition. Throughout his time in university, he took part in many groups, including the Wind Ensemble, and the Master’s Choir, and also became an event manager of Madison’s Jazz at 5 concert series. He also had several of his compositions featured in concerts throughout his college education. In 2021, Justin graduated, and moved to Milwaukee in 2022.

Justin has been teaching privately since 2014, focusing on piano lessons, ranging in all ages from children to adults. While he focused on Classical Music in his studies, he believes in a diverse music education, and touches on many different styles from classical music, to jazz, rock, R&B, and pop music. He believes that this diverse exposure to music allows people the room to explore and grow as developing musicians. Justin enjoys the outdoors and cooking whenever he finds himself with free time.
