Joel has been playing guitar for 29 years. He is the son of a career musician, and has a degree in guitar performance and has taken lessons from Brian Doherty from multi platinum Canadian recording artist, Big Wreck. Joel specializes in rock, metal, pop, and progressive music, and dabbles in jazz. He’s taught guitar for over a decade, as well as beginner bass and drums for two years each. Joel can be a firm discipline based teacher or fun and laid back. Different students need different approaches and he aims to tailor his approach to the individual.
