About

Hailing from San Diego, California, Nicholas Jimenez recently moved to Austin, TX. Nicholas' passion is to help to train and inspire the next generation of young musicians and music lovers.

Nicholas is currently completing his master's degree in Piano Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. His ultimate passion is teaching and sharing his joy and knowledge of the piano with his students, and ensuring their own specific goals and aspirations be met and accomplished in whatever way they need to be.

Nicholas prioritizes musical literacy, and knowledge of all facets of music, not just piano playing, but music theory, aural skills training, and even composition.

He has received many sought-after prizes in competitions for the piano, which include: The 1st Prize in the San Diego State University Soloist with Orchestra Competition, 1st Prize in International Hong Kong Music Festival San Diego, and the “Special Prize for a Most Outstanding Performance” during the White Knights Piano Festival in St. Petersburg Russia.

Nicholas is also an avid composer, and just recently premiered hi piece "Declaración #1" at the University of Texas at Austin in May 2022.
