Kimaya is the former lead singer for the Grammy award winning jazz group Hiroshima. She has toured the world and worked on many records as an international artist as well as with notable artists such as Howard Hewitt, Diana Ross, The Jacksons, Snoop, to name a few. She has worked with Universal Cartoons as a songwriter and voice over artist working on commericals, music videos, the Land before Time series, Ghostbusters cartoon, Balto and has worked with film director Oliver Stone on many films. She is a professional singer, actress, writer and producer. Her extensive experience gives her a unique way of teaching. She gives real life application in technique, range, auditioning, performance and mentorship in every lesson about the entertainment industry and has coached students like Katy Perry and former contestants from American Idol as well as lead cast members that have been on and are currently performing on Broadway, cruises and for the Walt Disney Corporation. Her teaching style is friendly and motivating to the beginner who is five years old, to younger and older adults wanting to audition, perform or go into the studio and learn to be a professional singer. Kimaya is currently singing on various record projects including her own, doing voice overs and acting in independent films. Her production company is working on many projects in film, episodic cable projects and live performances.
