Jacob Chesney is a composer and educator originally from South Carolina, where he got his start on French Horn. He currently teaches as an Adjunct Faculty of Music at Lipscomb University while composing on the side. Jacob has performed with the University of South Carolina Symphonic Winds, the Harding University Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, and the Arkansas Intercollegiate Band. He has taught private lessons for 5 years and has taught Aural Skills and Music Theory at the collegiate level for 2 years. He teaches students starting at age 5 and likes to keep lessons fun and engaging while focusing on building a strong foundation in technique and theory. When he isn't doing something with music, Jacob is probably reading or rolling around with his dog, Bear.
