About

Kari Glasco-Jaques was born in the Philippines. At the age of 10 months, Sally Christenson, a music teacher, adopted her and brought her to Rochester, NY. Sally started Kari on violin when she was four years old. Kari performed at Suzuki violin festivals as a child and played violin in the Phoenix Symphonettes as a teenager.

Kari's a member of the ASTA (American String Teachers Association). During her college career, she was a freelance violinist in southern California. Kari was privileged to play the 1st violin solo in a performance of Vivaldi's Concerto for 4 Violins in B minor. Kari was a violin and viola teacher for the Hovland Conservatory of Music. She has enjoyed teaching violin for over ten years and also teaches middle-school math.

Kari holds a Bachelor in Violin Performance and Theatre from BIOLA University and is pursuing a Masters's in Clinical Mental Health at Grand Canyon University. She lives in Phoenix, AZ, with a menagerie of cats and dogs and also fosters pets from the AZ Humane Society.
