Marissa Urrutia is originally from Fresno, California but has been living in Lockport, Illinois since May 2022. She started her formal musical education at the age of 6 with piano lessons. She started cello lessons at the age of 10. Marissa graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2013 with a B.A. in Cello Performace. She has traveled, performed, and taught music in Italy, Brazil, and Peru. She has a passion for classical music and has been a member of many orchestras and string quartets. She has taught students as young as 5 years old to adults. Beginner to Advanced students.
