About

Born and raised in Franklin, TN, Parker Greenwood has formally studied piano performance for the past nine years, starting with at-home lessons just like these! After writing an original piano score for Circle Theatre in Fort Worth, Parker went on to study Music Composition at Texas Christian University, where he learned to compose for various styles from classical chamber music to electronic media. His university education culminated in the production of an hour long concert comprising twelve of his own original works, realized by sixteen different performers including himself. After receiving his Bachelor of Music, Parker moved back home to Franklin to write original scores for films and video games, and to gain experience as a studio engineer. In addition to piano, Parker also teaches voice and guitar. While his teaching method is grounded in fundamentals, Parker believes in cultivating his students’ inner creativity above all else. His primary goal is to use new exercises and repertoire to empower each student to explore their own unique musical voice.
