Since transplanting from Cleveland in 2019, Matthew has developed to become an active saxophonist on the Cincinnati music scene. Matthew has performed throughout the Midwest everything from straight-ahead jazz to indie rock, playing with groups such as the jazz/rock trio Dogfish, the Flying Circus Big Band, vintage swing group The New Liberty Dance Orchestra, and the Hot Club of Milford. He has been fortunate to work with artists such as Lewis Nash, Derek Gardner, John Fedchock, and Tamir Hendelman, and has collaborated with groups such as the Cincinnati Ballet. Matthew is currently finishing his degree in Jazz Studies at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, graduating in Spring of 2023.
