She also studied with Morris Hochberg concert master of the Detroit Symphony Orcherstra. Fran also studied piano from Reva Kuhel, a partner in a duo of professional classical pianists and voice from Avery Crew, professor at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Fran earned a Bachelor's of Music Education in Voice and Piano from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Master of Music Education from Oakland University in Rocherster, Michigan. She studied voice and opera at University of Southern California, California State University at Northridge and Orange Coast College.

Fran sang chorus roles with Michigan Opera Theatre and Opera Colorado and lead roles with Denver Opera Company. She has sung on stage at Carnegie Hall and toured Europe and South America as soloist in choral works.

Fran's love of teaching developed during college and she has been teaching ever since, from preschoolers to adults. She credits the success of her thousands of students on her determination to reach every student at their level and to assist them in becoming successful at their own pace. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment and motivating her students to take responsibility for their success.
