“I want to write a song” said Ricky to his mom at three years old, a statement that would set a precedent for the rest of his life. From early education onward Ricky learned music claiming section leader spots for various instruments for concert and marching seasons leading up to his biggest high school achievement: composing the score for his senior send off concert. During this time Ricky spent his free time performing drums for his first band. As time passed Ricky would see himself playing drums and guitar for various bands in the Michigan area seeing himself playing shows in the entire lower peninsula, during this time he composed “Well Seasoned”, “B sides of an Album that doesn’t exist”, and “Evermore EP 1”. With these releases came “Even Ohio Hates Ohio” an ironically named piece which released with an animated video promoting mental health awareness and self expression. Following projects dissolving Ricky approached online platforms to garner thousands of views posting covers and original music alike, during this time he’s picked up teaching and found a passionate flame for sharing the knowledge of the craft he’s fallen so deeply in love with.
