About

Abraham Isai Cruz is a classically trained Opera Singer located in San Antonio, Texas. Abraham started his singing Journey when he sang in the TMEA All-state Mixed Choir. In 2022 Abraham received his Bachelor's Degree in Voice Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he received a Full Scholarship to attend in 2019. In 2022 alone, Abraham won first place at the 2022 NSAL Arizona Competition, the 2022 Opera Modesto Kristina Townsend Memorial Vocal Competition, and the 2022 Charleston Competition and received the Honorarium Award for the 2022 Hal Leonard Competition. Abraham was accepted to nine Opera summer programs for the 2022 session, receiving full scholarships at each one. Two of these aforementioned programs are the Seagle Festival- which he attended as an Emerging Artist in their nine-week training program and the CMI Voice Teaching-Artist Fellowship. In 2023 Abraham was casted in the Opera “Carmen” by Bizet and received the role of Escamillo. Abraham has even performed for Six Flags Fiesta Texas for the 2023 session on various occasions and created relationships with people in the music in the industry. Abraham's dream is to sing at the Met one day and at all the Major Opera houses in the world. Abraham is a proud Latino who wants to give back to his family and community because in doing so, he will be paying it forward to the next person in line.
