About

John Fuchigami is a guitar instructor that brings with him the Aloha Spirit all the way from Hawaii! In the Islands, the Aloha Spirit is about warmth and friendliness. He incorporates this kind of heart into his lessons and is known for his patience in working with students. He has also developed his own style of teaching/curriculum that’s custom built around a student's musical tastes and goals. His curriculum includes fun and rewarding exercises that make for easy “wins” as students develop.

John is a self-taught musician and has been playing guitar for over 35 years. He is proficient in both electric and acoustic guitars. John’s primary performance experiences are from leading worship for 23 years. However, he’s also played in coffee shops, conferences, parties, and misc. venues, with a band as the lead guitarist. For the last 4 years, he’s been playing ukulele professionally and is happy to teach this fun and relatively easy instrument!

John’s background is in rock and roll, but enjoys dabbling in different styles including, Blues, Metal, Christian, Pop, Folk, and a bit of Classical and Jazz.
