Montana Sand is a group of multi-instrumentalists fronted by singer-songwriter AJ Keyser. AJ is from the Front Range of Colorado and has been playing professionally for over 5 years. AJ draws their influence from a wide variety of genres, including but not limited to indie acoustic soul, folk, rock, country, bluegrass, and roots music; genres that have been the backbone to Austin’s music scene for decades. The group focuses on making music an inclusive space for all to be able to enjoy and relate to, as well as using music for mental health awareness. AJ has their BA in Psychology and aspires to move people therapeutically through the musical eduation process. Writing music helps AJ creatively express their soul and hopes music will do the same for their students. AJ has taught professionally for 3 years to elementary age students, special needs students and adults who are starting out on guitar/piano/ukulele.
