Plays Bass, and Guitar

About

Tony was initially introduced to and studied music while he was in Junior High School and he has been playing since 1979. Tony started totally from scratch or without knowing anything about music or guitars at all.

Tony is USAF Veteran that participated in some Air Force talent shows and played guitar for an Air Force community-sponsored band at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS while serving in the U.S. Air Force.

In 1993, Tony joined the Eastward Baptist Church and immediately got involved in the church music ministry first as a second tenor in the Junior Choir and then afterward was encouraged by the Minister of Music, Prof. Luke Elmore (A very, very talented Ray Charles style organist and singer) to play guitar for the music ministry because he loved how Tony played rhythm and lead guitar.

In 2004, Tony relocated to Lexington, KY, and joined the Consolidated Baptist Church in March 2005. They didn't have a guitar player so he auditioned for the position and was immediately offered the position. His church was one of the fastest-growing churches in the area and offered three different services every Sunday at 8 am; at 9:45 am and at 11:30 am. Tony signed on as a contracted paid musician for 9 out of the 10 years that he played for his church from April 2005 to August 2015.

Tony has had experience with teaching both online and in a one-on-one situation with the Online at www.wyzant.com and with the locally-based Taylor Robinson Music Lessons company. Tony also taught electric guitar; bass guitar and music theory lessons briefly at the Guitar, located in Marietta, Georgia too.
