About

Michelle (Mi) Cho began piano at age 4. Her musical family helped her and her sisters start their learning of musical instruments from these early ages. This lifelong learning lead her to attend the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees in piano performance.

Since she started teaching while she was a college student, she has more than 20 years of experience in teaching. She teaches from young age beginners to advanced students and adults. Her experience with a variety of methods and books find the fit the best for her students. She has sent her students to various competitions, recitals and MTAC of CM.
She not only teaches techniques and musical skills but also can teach music theory, sight reading, jazz chords, and ear training. She has great passion for introducing music to students and enjoyment of music. She likes to make lessons fun and engaging.

She just moved back to California from Michigan to Carlsbad early this year. She is looking for new opportunities to teach students who are passionate for music and piano as well as join the local music community.
